Songbirds Music 0-5yrs by Diana Davidson
Summer session will be split into two 5 week sessions; one starting June 20th and the other starting July 25. Then our fall session will begins the second or third week of September.
WE ARE READY TO START A CLASS WE JUST NEED AT LEAST 5 ADULTS W/KIDS IN ORDER TO INSURE FUN GROUP PARTICIPATION.
Ms. Diana's Bio
Diana Davidson, a life-long singer and dancer, holds a M.Ed. from the University of Virginia in Curriculum and Instructions and a B.A from the University of California, Los Angeles in World Arts and Cultures. Diana served as a bilingual and Spanish Immersion elementary school teacher for 10 years in San Diego and Arlington, VA. She has many years of experience working with children ages 0-10 in areas of art, music, fitness, and dance. Diana successfully completed the Music Together®® Teaching Workshop developed by the Center for Music and Young Children, Princeton, New Jersey in Alexandria, Virginia in 2007. Diana has been the teaching director of Songbirds Music since February 2008. She is a member of the National Association of Education for Young Children and the Early Childhood Music and Movement Association. Diana is also the proud mom of a singing dancing four year old daughter.
Diana is CPR and First Aid certified.
Class Description
Each 45-minute class includes songs, rhythm games, creative movement, and instrument play. These activities are presented as informal, non-performance-oriented musical experiences--developmentally appropriate for children and easy for parents and caregivers--regardless of their own musical ability. Each child participates at his or her own developmental level. This class provides for a variety of adult-child interactive activity and offers new ways to play musically at home. Classes meet one a week for 10 weeks.
Cost:
New Families: $200 ($180 + $20 one time new family registration fee)
Returning Families: $180 (families who have taken classes with Songbirds Music)
Additional Siblings 9 months and up: $120
Additional Sibling under 9 months: Free
Tuition includes 10 classes, 2CDS, illustrated songboook, musical growth chart, make-up classes, newsletters, special offers and events. Each 10 weeks session comes with a new set of materials
